I’m well-versed in the art of writing about cats and quite experienced in writing about magical girls. So it’s a nice turn of events to be able to write about a magical catgirl VTuber. Enjoy as we hear all about the tale of how a regular cat found a mysterious item and became Kizuragi Rin.

Our tale starts with an ordinary cat, doing ordinary cat things. On a normal stroll, the cat saw something shiny in the streets and immediately went to investigate. The item was a bell just lying around, and like all cats do with something shiny, she jumped at the chance to play with it. However, this bell was imbued with incredible magical powers, powers meant for another, but the cat got to it first. As the cat played with the bell, she gained the power to manifest into a human form and eventually turned into a magical girl.

Now gifted with incredible powers, she uses those abilities to protect the city from the forces of evil. However, one foe was far greater than the rest. The city was attacked by an evil witch. Rin and the Witch were locked in an intense fight; however, the city was saved. The fight took all the power Rin had, and she lost the ability to change into a magical girl, so until her powers recharge, she found a new way to pass the time by streaming amazing content to fans.

Rin plays a variety of games, but often chooses titles that are difficult for her, to the amusement of her audience. So she plays very challenging genres like Metroidvanias, including Hollow Knight and Silksong. Outside of games, fans can enjoy karaoke and art streams live on Twitch, but you can also find more of her content on YouTube.

Speaking of art, if you’re looking for something amazing, she also does commissions for a variety of illustrations here on Vgen. She even did the header art you see above. To further support her, also make sure to follow her socials on Twitter/X, Bluesky, and Instagram so you get to see all of her amazing work.
