The story of Gleam is one of how she met an unnamed god through unconventional circumstances that led them to turn their attention towards content creation.
Our story takes place in a world unlike our own, one full of magic and wonder. Gleam started off as a cat wandering the dimly lit streets. She was on the brink of starvation and looking for something to eat when she came across a peculiar smell. Chasing the scent, she found a dilapidated shrine to a forgotten god, which she broke into and consumed the inhabitant of. After the meal, she decided to take a much-needed nap.
After waking up, she noticed an extra tail and a second voice inside her head, one very unlike her own. This mysterious being explained that Gleam gained new abilities upon eating the mysterious item, including being able to assume a humanoid form at will. This nameless god needed a corporeal anchor, and Gleam needed to survive. However, while cats need food, gods need devotion and belief. What better way to bring devotion to a god than to turn to content creation and bring the fans to them? Rather than take the path of religious doctrine, she aspires to earn the admiration of followers through the success of her own merits instead.
They specialize in soulslike and lore-heavy occult games, including Dark Souls II, Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling Into Darkness, Book of Hours, and even Warframe, as there’s more magic in space than you would think. Since gods can also feed off of fictional souls, Gleam will insert herself into the various games via transdiagesis to collect more souls to help her new companion, and you can watch all of this unfold on both Twitch and YouTube.
