Have you ever seen a random doodle on a piece of paper with no idea where it came from? Maybe a little shape, a couple of lines with a bit of color to them. It could be a drawing you don’t remember doing, or it could be a Scribble Imp. Now I’m sure you’re wondering what exactly is a Scribble Imp? Well that’s one of the amazing things you’ll find out as I tell you all about the story of The Scribble Scribe.
Scribble Imps are invasive imps that can be found anywhere. A doodle in a Valentine, love letter, or even romantically themed spam emails. They can take on any kind of shape, color, and size, but the best way to recognize them is with a very unique trait: they are always monochromed. These playful creatures manipulate linework and are very contagious. Any inanimate object that makes contact with them will take on their colors. Now the objects can put some effort to avoid being infected, but once it happens, it’s curtains for your color palette. The signs are easily mistaken as outside factors, little nibbles on your papers and scribbles in your notes. The little imps are hard to pin down, and you may never know you have one. After all, how can you remember all of the little drawings you make as your mind wanders when making them?
The Scribble Scribe also happens to be a Vtuber whose story began six years ago. With a love of the creative process, they enjoyed the creative freedom that came with this art form and used it to create their own unique self within it. That love extends to the people who enjoy their content as well as they strive to create a community that embraces a do-no-harm but take no ill will policy, an openness to queer voices, and a celebration of body positivity.
One of the reasons I like the art of Vtubing so much is how it creates an avenue for all kinds of people to create content. It’s been a huge help to The Scribble Scribe, as in 2025, they sustained a traumatic brain injury, a triple impact concussion, and a damaged vestibular system. This had a big impact on their life, and so they leaned into streaming, which has been such a blessing for them.
Their love for the creative process extends to the very content they make as well. Their streams show an appreciation for game development as they play various RPGs, Roguelikes, simulators, and all of the fun, goofy multiplayer games. Due to brain trauma, you won’t see any first-person games in their content; however, you will get to watch as they dissect the inner workings of the amazing worlds made by the talented developers. They also have their own amazing creations to bring to life, and a lot of their content includes art streams where you can watch their own unique creative process right here on Twitch.
If you absolutely love the art they create, then make sure to head on over to Vgen, where you can commission a masterpiece for yourself. To further support their work, head on over to their website, where you can find ways to follow all of their socials and even check out their merch, where you can have your own Scribble Imp.
