Last time I wrote about content with someone named Nidhöggr, it was for a Fire Emblem article. This time, however, we get to explore the story of a content creator whose roots tie back to the legends those characters are based on. Today, we are here to tell the tale of a Norse-inspired VTuber, WinterGust. The header art is by Ponzu and the logo included is by Mogoslab.
Our story starts underneath the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil. WinterGust lived his life as one of the lindwyrms, for those who don’t know, this is a type of dragon. Daily life includes enjoying the view as other lindwyrms slowly gnaw at the roots. The most famous of all being Nidhöggr. As time goes on, we slowly progress towards the inevitable Ragnorok. Though thankfully, we haven’t gotten to that part of the tale yet. Over time, WinterGust grew bored of the same old cycle and wanted something different, something new and exciting. To that end, he turned his attention to one of the more talked-about of the nine realms, Midgård.
Of course, we know this place as Earth. While observing the actions of the mortals who lived there, he noticed a peculiar way humans had to entertain themselves. Using virtual models to stream some of their favorite games. Seeing an opportunity, he sent his own avatar beyond the roots of the world tree to the screens of the humans and steadily grew a following. As he continued to enjoy the company of his chatters, he became very fond of his new Treasures.
Like his love for a variety of people, he also loves a variety of games. Though with a schedule for people to easily keep up with. He enjoys comfy and cozy puzzle/platformer games on Tuesdays, horror games on Wednesdays, and Thursdays are for showing off more story-driven titles. Then on Sundays, fans can either enjoy his company as he reads tales of the mythology that his Vtuber was based on, or a nostalgic game that’s a blast from the past. Though fun is often best with the company of others, as he’s also part of a Vtuber group called The Dragon Council, a dragon-centric community full of people that you’ll often see him collab with right here on Twitch.
If you’re looking for a comfortable vibe where you feel welcomed and at home, even with scary horror games, you’ve come to the right place. Plus, you can enjoy some of his content anytime right here on his YouTube channel, and for fans of ASMR he recently released his first venture into the style of content on a second channel.
If you want to support his myriad of endeavors, then make sure to head on over to his website here. You’ll find ways to follow all of his socials, links to The Dragon Council, and so much more. So make sure to check it out and enjoy the good vibes.
