When I hear the story of Kuromiya Lucien, I think of a beautiful quote from a show called Doctor Who. “We are all different people all through our lives. And that’s OK, that’s good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be.” Lucien, or Lulu for short, has lived a variety of lives in many different forms, but one thing she always remembers is her desire to help others. Learn all about the gamer sheep maid and professional Vtuber manager Lulu. The header art is by Icy Tenshi.
Our story starts in the lower circles of hell. For a time, Lulu lived here as one of hell’s demons until her parents mysteriously decided to cast her out of the pits of hell. Now trapped in the mortal realm, she waited for a human to find her sigil, lost in a book, so that she may one day find a body to possess.
The day finally came, and with a new mortal body came new struggles due to the laws of the occult. Now she must endure the experiences mortals are used to, such as hunger and pain. She also suffered from impaired vision and wears a veil to protect her body from possession. While living in the mortal realm, she opened up a book shop called “Black Sheep.” Of course, all while making content as a Vtuber with the company of her followers, the Black Rams.
Over time, she gained enough souls to return to her demon form and returned the body she possessed to her owner. The process took 33 surface world days but 33 years in a realm called the in-between. A place far removed from heaven and hell, devoid of light or sound. It’s where souls pay the price for having a physical form in the mortal plain.
After serving her sentence, she was given a choice: return to hell and possess another human body or take her demon form to earth, but she must keep the peace between the occult forces. Choosing to return to Earth, she was granted a thorny halo and a book to serve as a guide. Though she also returned to her lovely book shop and to the black rams waiting for her.
Though one stream, she revealed she had a dire mission ahead of her, one that she might not return from. She left the library to journey to the in-between only to find that the version of Lulu that originally entered, never actually left. It turns out that for every visit she made to this realm, she was replaced in the moral one. To fully understand what was going on, she confronted her mother, and in a climactic battle, her mother was slain, and a new version of Lulu emerged from the depths of the in-between. The new version of Lulu was one in a priestess form as she tells chat of the origins of the worlds, light, dark, the realms, and everything in between.
Fast forward to today, and Lulu’s journey has her assume many forms. Fans can watch her current form as a lovely, funny gamer sheep turned maid that enjoys providing fun content and original musical hits.

There are a lot of amazing things to say about Lulu. She’s an advocate for encouraging others to pursue their goals as well as accessibility. As someone who struggles with tritanopia, blue and yellow color blindness, her own model appears different to her than it would to many others. So she strives to encourage color blind accessibility for games and even promotes games made with that in mind. You can find so much more about her by checking out her website and make sure to give all of her socials a follow.
