One of the amazing things that comes with writing about VTubers is exploring all the inspiration behind the various models. Now we do have some that repeat in very unique ways from time to time, but other times we get to talk about something entirely new. This is one of those moments as we get to share the story of our first Unicorn VTuber. Check out the amazing tale of Cully_VT right here. The header art is by honeyaruu.
We also get to explore a new location for the series as our tale takes us to Scotland. Cully is a divine goddess unicorn who spends her life in a never-ending cycle. She would always find herself sacrificing her memories and divinity to save the world, and the events would loop back, with her making this sacrifice again and again for thousands of years. Many centuries have passed, and she’s now 6969 years old.
Over time, her soul split into two halves. One version is the light Cully that ends up forgetting about her friends and memories, but also forgets about the hurt and the pain she’s endured. The other half, however, takes on the burden of remembering all the pain she’s endured through her past lives and has been known by many as Scally.
Cully’s current life is much more pleasant as she gets to enjoy this one as an ojous sama. One day, she was bored and decided she would start her own cafe for nerds, where she is often seen surrounded by smiling patrons.
What’s a cafe for nerds without a reliable internet connection? When she’s not running the cafe, she also makes content for people all over the world to enjoy. She loves single-player story-based games, including Resident Evil, Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption 2, Alien Isolation, Metal Gear Solid, Bayonetta, and so much more. Outside of story-driven games, she also strives to play Tekken every weekend, where she actively improves her skills and has risen to Garyu rank. She also does a variety of hand cam streams where chat can watch her open TCG packs live on Twitch.
She’s also really into music and will organize various events, including concerts where fans can enjoy her singing talent. However, if for some reason you can’t make it to her content, you can check out her music anytime, as she makes covers for her YouTube channel along with various shorts from her streams.
Streaming has been a huge help through life struggles, as she would watch various streamers as a form of comfort while she looked after family members struggling with cancer. Those moments meant the world to her, and now she hopes to give moments like that to people who need them with her own content. Using it as both a beautiful escape for herself and hopefully for all the fans who tune in.
As I’ve said before, I love VTuber groups, and she’s part of an independent group called Folklore. It’s a group of four talented VTubers, and as of the time of writing, they are preparing to open auditions for even more members. You can find out more about them on their Twitter/X profile, and who knows, you could see more about them in future articles here.
In the meantime, if you think Cully is amazing, then you should head on over to her website. You’ll not only find links to all of her socials, but also a myriad of ways to support her content, whether it’s through Ko-Fi, Throne, or checking out her merch. There’s a lot to see, so make sure to look through all of the incredible stuff she has to offer.
