When we think of the underworld, it’s easy to think of the whole fire and brimstone setting. Though in lore all across the world, there are various interpretations of it. Some of them feature a more aquatic atmosphere. I’ve featured several Vtubers with the underworld in their story, but this is the first time one of them has been a water nymph. So now that I have your attention, how about we look into the tale of Star of Mnemosyne.
Our story starts in the ancient Greek underworld. Lying within its depths is the river of Mnemosyne, one of the rivers of death and rebirth. Which also happens to be where Star was born. Star was a water nymph who decided 30 years ago to venture to the moral realm. Assuming the guise of a human, she saw the marvels of humankind and found a love for video games. This love stirred a whim to share this fascination with others, and thus she decided to give streaming a try. Of course, that’s not all that happened during her venture to this realm. She found all kinds of interesting creatures, including a terrifying bird called the shoebill adorable, and even adopted a husky with anxiety. A new and interesting adventure begins here for a water nymph living in the mortal realm, but oddly enough finds herself unable to swim here.
Though why swim when you can surf the web and enjoy some fun content? Star enjoys mainly JRPGs, including Dragon Quest and Lunar Silver Star Story. Though with breaks in between to enjoy cozy games like Story of Seasons and monster-raising games like Pokémon and Monster Rancher. She strives to create a chill and casual vibe for everyone to relax, hang out, or enjoy some fun background noise. Though that’s not to say things can’t get chaotic now and then.
