Farleycon 2025 Review: 10 Years Going Strong

The wonderful people behind Farleycon have been absolutely amazing to me ever since I first met them. So naturally I wasn’t about to miss them celebrating 10 years of running their convention.

Starting first with the guest list, Farleycon features a wide variety of talent spanning all across pop culture. You have stars from the Walking Dead, Dragon Ball Z, Sword Art Online, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Wrestlers and well known comic book writers and artists. It was even the final convention appearance of legendary comic book artist Mark Spears for 2025. While the guest list isn’t big Farleycon consistently knows how to pick a guest list to span a wide array of fandoms so it’s easy to find someone involved with one of yours. I also really like how the guests are placed inside the venue as well. They are placed in a section off to themselves next to the vendors so meeting them is not difficult at all.

Panels were also a lot of fun as they were fun Q and A panels featuring guests grouped in various fandoms. So you had panels discussing My Hero Academia, Transformers, and so much more. Plus the event featured a cosplay runway show as well as a charity auction. So if you love the variety of guests you get to enjoy that same variety in the panels alongside some extra fun things to do.

Moving onto the vendors I really enjoyed shopping and finding all kinds of neat things. Even though I frequent a lot of events in this area Farleycon manages to always find a vendor with items new to me. I even found a Xenoblade Chronicles sticker which took me by surprise. You can find all kinds of comics here which pairs well with the variety of comic book guests but what I personally love are how many of the guests have original items to sell via either art, 3D printed merch, I even saw a Mario plugin cover. If it wasn’t for the fact that I hate working with anything electrical, even simple stuff that I can easily do, I probably would have gotten one.

Farleycon is a nice well managed event that again manages to make the perfect place to stop by for a day. I ended up going Saturday and managed to do everything I wanted to do and had a fun time doing it. I’m happy that I got to stop by for their 10th year and I hope to be writing a review celebrating the next milestone 10 years from now.
