When I think of the story of the Vtuber we’re talking about today, I can’t help but think of a quote from Doctor Who. “We’re all different people all through our lives.” That’s true for everyone, but even more so for PricePotatoVT, as their past and present are at odds with each other as they look towards the future.

Originally, Price started off as a cat Vtuber, we do love our cats in this series, but they didn’t stay that way. Following a rebrand, they became a mouse, and with the new direction came new ideas for content. As a mouse Vtuber, they are transitioning from short-form skits to more long-form content, including video essays and retrospectives. However, cats have nine lives, and the cat they used to be is still lingering today. Instead of supporting this change, their former self interferes with everything in an attempt to move things back to the way they were before.

Speaking of video essays, one of the things fans can see when tuning into their content is an entire series explaining the lore in full called The Price Portal. An experimental video essay series that expands their lore with special scenes and includes appearances from their old model. Which will be available right here on YouTube. Fans can also enjoy retrospectives of retro games, especially those on the PS2, as it’s a console with a lot of sentimental value. Tune in enough, and you might see their former self come back with some mischievous skits.
