Sometimes we find our roommates in the most unlikely of places. Other times it’s like you see two people and it looks like they were just made for each other. When it comes to the story of our favorite goth bunny hexen, Joanna Hex, both are true. So how about we hear all about how her origins pointed her to another creator we’ll be talking about later on.

Our story starts with a hero named Kiwi from a faraway planet named Terra-V . This planet is much like our own but with superior scientific developments and the ability to use magic. So on Earth Kiwi became a hero protecting civilians from all kinds of threats. Kiwi always did a great job protecting people, but with her great power led to collateral damage in the process as some of her foes included other aliens, kaijus or even super powered individuals.

A secret government organization decided something needed to be done as a contingency against Kiwi. A mysterious being known as the Elder Crow supplied an artifact called the Chaos Crystal. This item was incredibly powerful and brimming with limitless energy; however, because humans had little knowledge of how it worked the energy often overflowed causing chaos and calamity. After many experiments the Elder Crow suggested creating an antithesis to Kiwi. Using it’s power they created an anti-magical girl named Joanna Hex.

When the two met they were locked in fierce combat that put everyone at risk. Blow for blow the battle raged on until the risk was so great that a loss of life was eminent. Joanna was moments away from a potential lethal blow to Kiwi but turned her attention to save the civilians instead and used a great amount of energy to do so. After the people were saved her desire to attack went with her strength. The government tried to apprehend Joanna; however, she escaped and hid away with Kiwi. In a flawed but effective argument saying Kiwi was the only memories Joanna had this led to the two of them living together.
