Sometimes life presents us with very challenging situations. Finding love and keeping it safe are some of the greatest challenges one can face. The story of Mari is one where a forbidden love forced her away from home to be with the one who has her heart. So sit back and relax as we read all about a climactic tale of love and war.

Six thousand years ago, our story begins in the kingdom of Aelfheim, one of the highest of the nine realms. Mari was the only child of the light elf queen Lydia and an absentee father, Johannen. Her childhood was a peaceful one where she explored a love of magic, music, and legendary tales of her people. However, peace is very fleeting. A giant named Galdor, who believed himself to be mightier than the gods themselves, had an unyielding hatred for elf-kind and unleashed his animosity on the nine realms.

After Mari came of age, she explored the world and even fell in love with a demon named Rhoxane. However, Galdor’s power was growing, and his servants were always watching. Rhoxane lived with one of Galdor’s lieutenants, who trapped her in their castle. Together, Mari and Rhoxane planned an escape and were on their way to live their life together in Aelfheim. That’s when Galdor interfered, forcing Mari to fight. With her sword drawn, she stabbed the tyrant in the chest forcing him to retreat.

Both Mari and Rhoxane knew their safety would not last long. In a desperate act, the two of them jumped through a portal leading to the earthly realm, Midgard. A land where giants were forbidden to enter. Cut off from the realm they called home, they built a new life together as their magic slowly depleted, resulting in a life with mortality along with humankind. However, Midgard had many fascinating aspects like video games, streaming, and Vtubers. Mari used this to find and express her true self to the world. She still searches for the unlikely opportunity to once again return home.
