There’s an entire community that I have actually rarely gotten to talk about. Obviously, it’s not Vtubers, but it relates here. That’s the furry community, and today we get to talk about a vtuber that’s both a furry and a dragon. This story is one of struggle that ends with using streaming as a means of healing, so relax as we talk about Zertnia.
Growing up with an anxiety disorder creates a myriad of challenges that Zertnia had to deal with. Those challenges made a normal life out of his reach. While he appeared to be high functioning, doing things like working a regular schedule was impossible. Inspired by content creators like Game Grumps, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye, he wanted to become a creator himself. So he first learned programming in order to work in the video game industry, though the high stress and toxic environment were too much. In the end, he was only able to play video games, so he applied that and made the move towards streaming.
Inspired by Keith Ballard, who came out as a furry and IronMouse, who shares her experiences with her Immune Deficiency, he was determined to show his true self to the world in a way safe for him. He started streaming in 2024 and strives to stream weekly. As a result, his confidence grew, and he now sets his goals to reach a bigger and bigger audience.
Zertnia has a love for a lot of games but can often be seen playing games like Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, Research Story, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Monster Hunter Stories. As he streams, he also shares his unique experiences in hopes of inspiring others to pursue ways to overcome the same challenges he faces. All this content you can enjoy right here on his Twitch channel. He also uploads his VODs right here on YouTube.
If you want to keep up with his schedule and get to know him further, you should head on over to his Bluesky and give him a follow.
