Vtuber Spotlight: Jazz

For many, content creation is a vital means of self-expression. With it, you can reach so many people and create your own safe and comfortable environment to do so in. Sometimes, an idea that pops in on a whim can be the key to creating all kinds of memories, and we get to explore such a story today with Jazz.

Last winter, Jazz and her husband started watching Vtubers such as MataraKan and Limealicious. The two of them really enjoyed the content, and one day, Jazz had an idea, “I could do that, probably.” As a creator with ADHD and being quite impulsive, she quickly came up with ideas. Though she was concerned her age wouldn’t make that possible. That was until she learned Matara was also older, and that inspired her to dive into the world of Vtubing.

After searching the internet, she learned how to make a VROID model, which was a handy and free tool that helped her to create her model.  Though she was missing a name. That’s when she turned to her daughter, who said she looked like a Jazz.

As for her content, she streams regularly. At first, she was hesitant to stream, and in shock of having a viewer in her first try, she became flustered and ended the stream after 45 minutes. I can empathize with that feeling. I still get it every time I collab with someone. Though in time she found a way to overcome her nerves. She played some Monster Hunter like nobody was watching, and after two months, hit affiliate.

What first made her flustered now helps calm her anxieties, and you can find her streaming six days a week. You have Friday Night Monster Hunting and Chill Sunday, which have open lobbies with chat. The rest of the week, she rotates games and genres, including titles like Baldur’s Gate 3, Tomb Raider, Darkest Dungeon, and Mass Effect 3.  Even though she doesn’t do just chatting streams, she’s very engaged with chat often, more than she is with the games.  You can find her streaming right here on Twitch, or you can check out her archived content on her YouTube channel. She’s also recently started posting content here on TikTok.

If all of this sounds like fun, and it should, then head on over to her Bluesky and give her a follow. Check out all of the stuff she’s working on and join in on the fun.
