As time passes and more Vtubers join this ever growing series we see a lot of creators themed after animals. We’ve featured cats, dragons, kitsune and so many more but today we turn our attention to a first for this series. We take today’s spotlight and shine it on the part man, part cockatrice Vtuber Tryst.

Our story begins at a local coffee shop in the city Tryst calls home. Working as an underpaid barista he was stuck with closing the shop one night when some teenagers started causing trouble, forcing Tryst to kick them out. Sadly this was more life altering than you’d expect as the teens came back for revenge and threw eggs all over him. Normally not a problem, but one of them was a cockatrice egg. There’s a proper way to dispose of these eggs and it does not include throwing them at bystanders because cockatrice DNA fused with Tryst and he began a slow and permanent change.

His eyes turned more snake like and his hair raised and lowered with his emotions. His tongue forking and he started laying eggs. This led to him loosing his job and turning to other superhuman people to learn to coup and even accept his changes.

Tryst is now working in underground fights to make ends meet. Turns out the supernatural love a good fight, but Tryst’s powers make him uniquely qualified for fighting. If a part of his body is removed, destroyed or just shuts down entirely a spiritual version of that part takes its place for 30 minutes. As long as he’s healed within that time he won’t die and these fights come with a powerful healer making Tryst the perfect opponent for those high powered moves that make for the best shows.

Now nobody likes being on the receiving end of such brutality but he’s got to make ends meet and these fights pay the bills. Though he feels the pain every time it happens and he can’t help but envy those whose gifts come with raw unbridled power. Despite his shortcomings he won’t let that get to him. He’ll use his gifts to get stronger with each fight till he can stand toe to toe with the strongest. He’s the ultimate rival that will find a way to overcome everyone in his way to the top and he’ll get there not by wishing he had their powers but by learning to appreciate the ones he was given.

Tryst streams a variety of content. In fact I first came across his stuff through a Hades inspired Vtuber appreciation post that was easily one of the most unique ideas I’ve seen in some time. It even includes some other Vtubers you’ll see in this series one of which won a battle against Tryst to recruit yours truly to their side.
