So if you’ve been tuning in as far back as this morning you should be familiar with a vtuber named Zero Hayabusa. After telling his story it’s no surprise I also wanted to tell the story of his beloved partner. So today we’re shining the spotlight on the Blue Nekomata Vtuber BluMoonButterfly.

The story of Blu begins with her mother who sold her soul to a demon in order to save the love of her life. However, her love was not who he claimed to be and after realizing this she tried to change the deal. Taking advantage of the opportunity the demon agreed and took her necklace along with half of her soul and body. He changed the shape of the necklace to that of two blue teardrop gems in memory of the tears he made her mother shed. Each gem held half of her mother’s soul.

The half he took was merged with a demon under the light of a blood moon and became known as Blood Moon. The other half merged with a human named Yuki upon wearing half of the necklace under the light of a blue moon to become Blu. The two are twins with vastly different personalities. Blood Moon has a spicier demeanor while Blu is the calmer of the two. Inspired after meeting her love Zero, Blu does what she can to entertain and bring happiness to others.

Blu streams a fun variety of content including games like Minecraft, Pokemon Legends Arceus, Guild Wars 2, Stray, Disney Dreamlight Valley and many more. Outside of games Blu is also an incredibly talented artist and you’ll also find her doing art streams where you can watch her work on her latest piece.
