As our journey continues to celebrate Vtubers of all kinds we have to be able to venture into all kinds of different worlds. In this adventure we are taking a trip to the digital world full of virtual chatrooms of days of old. Here we log into our computers to shine the spotlight on the virtual adventurer vtuber Xumerical.
Let’s start with a walk down memory lane. From the 1990’s to about the 2010’s virtual chatrooms of all kinds swarmed the internet. When a new chatroom appears it is flooded with all kinds of users, but over time people move on and the rooms once brimming with people become baron wastelands. Shadows of the popular hot spots they used to be. Xumerical was a tour guide in one of these virtual worlds. A handy addition for new users to understand how to navigate the expansive world until their were no users to guide.
Within the vast empty world Xumerical had to find ways to stay entertained and started exploring as much of the world as possible. In due time they managed to venture in previously unexplorable parts, player worlds, worlds that weren’t bug tested and more. However, one day when exploring these new lands they found a glitch in a wall which opened up a myriad of new worlds to explore.
Finding themselves in a mysterious corridor with pale yellow walls and an endless series of winding hallways they learned they had the ability to use this area to explore the entire internet. Wanting to learn what happened to the world outside they explored website after website and traveled to learn as much of the world as possible. It made them yearn for the chatrooms of old. The vibrant rooms full of people wanting to reach out to each other. So they decided to look for worlds like their own. They visited chatroom after chatroom of worlds now forgotten to learn everything about them.
Their content involves teaching users all about the worlds they explore so when you tune in you get a massive blast from the past. You can find out all about places like Active Worlds, WorldsChat as well as older games like Club Penguin, ToonTown, Animal Jam and Wizard 101. Whether you’ve experienced these places and want a nostalgia trip or want to learn something about them for the first time this is the best place to go. They also plan on adding more gaming content to explore some classic games like Critter Town which you can find right now on their Youtube channel. Speaking of adding content they love indie horror games and plans to play Dead By Daylight and the Resident Evil series.
So if you miss the fun parts of the internet of old or want to visit them for the first time you really need to come by and check out Xumerical when they stream live. If you want to get to know more about them you can find all of their socials here.
