One of the things I love most about doing these spotlights is how it does a great job connecting me to creators I’ve never met before. I’m definitely in an area of content creation where collaborations are not the easiest to come by so I’m very thankful to get the chance to work with others to help bring their stories to life. With that being said lets get to the newest spotlight this time for Jade Callisto.

For those who’ve played Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) there is a tale as old as time. I’m not talking about any of the tales in Critical Role nor am I talking about the D&D movie. I’m talking about the tale of the Bard seducing the Dragon. Bards are known for their seductive charm and with a natural 20 even a Dragon can fall to their charismatic allure. However, with charm sometimes comes children and that is how Jade Callisto came to be.

Sadly poor Jade never got to know her parents as she was abandoned at a young age and was raised in an orphanage. However, she was different from her peers and relentlessly bullied. By the time she was seven she had enough of the torment and ran away in tattered clothes and nowhere to go. As she wandered she was approached by a traveling group called The Callisto Performance Troupe. A group of misfits and odd characters like herself that adopted her and helped her find a place to call home. It was there Jade learned the art of dance and martial arts and even found a way to combine these skills into her own fighting style Capoeira Martial arts. She also developed incredible talent at a seamstress and a love for cooking which she used as her language to reach others in need of healing by giving them a hearty meal.

Adopting the name Callisto for her surname she left to pursue her own adventures at the age of 21. Aiming to reunite with a family she never knew she traveled the world charming fans all over with her seductive dance and extravagant handmade outfits. Making a name for herself in inns and taverns but also making great use of her martial arts skills and dragon features for fans who need a lesson in boundaries. However, that’s not to say that Jade wasn’t a flirt sometimes herself. She’s a hopeless romantic and with her charm she was known for making her presence known to those she wanted to notice her. She also had a reputation for her wit and her humor and often enjoyed making people laugh with her puns. After three years of adventuring she often wonders if she’ll settle down but in the meantime continues her pursuit of adventure, seduction and performance.

Jade’s design takes inspiration from Green Chinese Dragons as well as middle-eastern belly dancers to create her half dragon, half human self. As for her content she has a passion for writing, RPGs like Skyrim, the occasional variety game and of course D&D.
