If you follow me on Twitter, I guess X now but I’m nowhere near used to that name, then you know that I love art and have a wide array of it on the walls of my office. So much that there’s more art than wall showing and I’m still looking for more. In my search for art I’ve come to love many artists but I will admit there are some that I’ve grown to enjoy more than most. Now for clarification these artists do much more than Fire Emblem art that’s just the means of which I’ve become a fan of their work.
Hellyon White
I’m going to address the one most people should already know about which is Hellyon White. They have made an incredible amount of Fire Emblem art as well as several prints used and signed by the cast of the various games in the franchise. I have about 15 or 16 different pieces of art made by them on my walls and even more stored in a photo album. The way they bring the characters to life on the prints is absolutely gorgeous and it’s no wonder they are the most commonly requested artist by members of the cast.
Burnt Green Tea
Another artist I’m a huge fan of is BurntGreenTea. I have four pieces of art made by them on my walls and a few of their stickers on my video game cabinet. I became a fan of their work after first seeing them at Emblemcon and I never fail to buy something from them when I see them at a convention. I love the incredible attention to detail in their work and they even do art of characters I never expected to find art of like Thorr from Fire Emblem: Heroes.
SMKittyKat
SMKittyKat is an artist I came across after buying a limited edition print from Kirsten Day, voice of Constance in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. She had a print for sell that featured an autograph from her and Christine Marie Cabanos the voice of Hapi from the same game. I remember first looking at the print and really loving how much the colors just popped when I looked at it and while I already had both of their autographs at this point I just immediately fell in love with the print and without hesitation bought one. It’s on my wall to this day at a spot easy for me to look at while I’m working. Their catalog of work features a style that is immediately captivating with bright colors and a superb use of lighting within the art.
Yami11arts
Yami11arts is another artist that I came across via an autograph signing. Stephanie Southerland, voice of Freyja in Fire Emblem: Heroes, was doing a signing and had an incredible looking print of her character. Naturally this was an instant buy for me and it’s another piece of art that remains on my wall to this day. I think for me one of the things I love most is how vibrant the colors are especially how they use the color blue so well. That’s probably where my fondness for their art really started since blue is my favorite color and pieces where they use blue heavily are my favorites like their art of Freyja and Ganglot. While I only have one of their artworks on my wall I do have a pin they made of Gullveig on the way that I’m excited to get my hands on.
Ippers
Unlike the rest of the people on this list Ippers is an artist I became a fan of by actually seeing their art in person as my introduction to their work. I came across their art at Anime Expo (I forget which year) and bought some of their work immediately. I currently have a print they made of Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Eirika from Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones on my wall. Now their ability to draw these characters is amazing but what really gravitated me to them was their incredible use of background. In both of the pieces I have the characters are complimented by an eye popping background that just highlights the subject of the piece.
