This is a pretty quick story about my first time meeting Keith Silverstein back in Anime Weekend Atlanta 2017. Now at this event, Keith was signing one item for free and I had a couple of Fire Emblem items I wanted him to sign. My wife, who was my fiancé at the time, volunteered to go in line with me so I can get both of these items signed for free. This was before I started the huge poster that many of you have seen me post about on Twitter.
I go up to Keith first with my copy of Fire Emblem: Echos and I had a number of signatures on it. Keith was absolutely elated to see such a collection and we had an incredibly fun conversation about collecting and just a general love for the series. The reaction Keith had to my collection was one I will remember for a long time as it was one of the first moments an actor was excited to see the results of the work it took to get my collection to that point. After I get the autograph, I stand to the side so my wife can get his autograph next on a Fire Emblem artbook for a friend of mine. Keith not missing a beat notices it’s another Fire Emblem item and points to me going “have you met this guy he’s great.” To which my wife holds up the engagement ring on her finger and says “yeah I know him.”
And that my friends is the story of how I met Keith Silverstein. Keith if you ever wind up reading this know that thanks to how awesome this was you’re one of a few voice actors my wife has always remembered by name we had an amazing time.
