Vtuber Spotlight: Lance White

In a sense, all content creators reach for the stars to achieve their goals. However, in the case of Lance White, we have a star aiming to reach us. Read all about the story of Lance White and his journey as a content creator.

A journey of content creation that started in 2008, Lance White tried a variety of channels, molding each one to his current interests year after year. He’s had quite a resume behind him, making memes, video essays, and in 2021 made the switch over to streaming. Wanting to move away from all of the writing and editing (feel that), he used streaming to put himself out there more than ever. Moving to 2023 was when he decided to take streaming more seriously and commit to a regular schedule, and ventured into Vtubing.

While his model doesn’t come with a lot of dedicated lore, he did have quite a unique inspiration behind the design. He is a Star Cluster that one day gained sentience and became enamored by the whims of humanity. Now here’s a science lesson for you: stars are nearly 100% plasma, and so Lance White used this malleable form to take on a human-like shape. With it, he can express his style with the clothes of the human race as he continues to find ways to look more human. After all, the big blue flaming head might be a bit of a giveaway.

He became a variety streamer who loves gacha games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. Games that require daily participation for best results, so why not stream them? You can also find him playing games like Deltarun Chapters and Silksong. During some of his streams, he also shows off his musical talents and produces music inspired by video games, lo-fi BGM, and Vtuber Remixes. He also used his Software Engineering background to help set up stream interactions where fans can redeem points to make his head big, make him red, blue, and green, glitchy, and more. If you’re lucky, chibi Lance White, named Jimmy, might also pop in and say hi. Now Jimmy also doesn’t have his own lore, but through exposure to chat doting on him, he did become his own character, a bratty son of Lance who eventually learned to speak. Though it may or may not be pre-recorded lines whenever he’s summoned. A fun variety that you can tune into right here on Twitch or YouTube. You can also find clips of his content on TikTok.
